With a little extra time on my hands these days, I figured it was time to get back into my year-long scrapbook project that I call Scrapbook Your Year.

If you are unfamiliar with how I document life in the modern age, here is a video showing you last year’s finished, printed book:

The system is a simple, no-frills way of saving photos and a few words. I like the simplicity of it and once you get the digital part down, it’s really quite simple. Here are my pages for January and February.

I had less than 100 photos each month to choose from. I think I am taking less photos than ever before.

On the first page for each month, I try to include the whole fam, but I have very few pics of the boy Zielske of late. It’s fine. I know he still exists.

In mid January, I was in the greater Seattle area for my best friend’s mom’s memorial. This was before the events in Kirkland unfolded. I decided to not write my journaling as if I didn’t know what was going to happen here in the U.S. this month. I feel it will make sense in the larger scheme of documenting 2020.

For February, I had even fewer photos, so I only created 2 pages.

And here is the wrap up page:

And that gets me caught up for 2020, until March wraps up.

I feel this year is one of those years we won’t soon forget, as what is happening is unprecedented in many of our lifetimes.

I’ll share my March pages in a few weeks as well. To learn more about my approach, read about the Scrapbook Your Year e-class here. Save $11 off the price through March 31, 2020.
